Recently, as part of my Health Coaching training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, we had a lecture with Dr. Andrew Weil. He showed us this breathing technique, & I’ve been doing it religiously ever since. It’s too good not to share!
What are you doing this weekend?
I do not intend to leave my house & I’m so excited about it!!
The IIN conference is live from New York City, & I will be streaming all weekend. For any of you interested in experiencing the Institute for Integrative Nutrition for yourself, this is your chance. It’s a wonderful opportunity to hear from the schools founder, Joshua Rosenthal, as well as some of the major players in the world of Health & Wellness. Dr Oz & Dr Lissa Rankin, anyone? Functional medicines Dr Mark Hyman? Don’t even get me started on the internet Rock Stars that are Marie Forleo & Mastin Kipp. I literally can not wait!
IIN have invited us to share this experience with family & friends, so I urge you now to sign up for this amazing event below. Do NOT miss this golden opportunity!

If you love what you see (which you will!) & would like to hear more about the school, drop me a line & I can invite you to a FREE Q&A session happening on May 22nd at 7pm (Gmt). During this call, Coach Sharon will discuss the following:
Woo hoo! I am 25% of the way through my Holistic Health Coach training with the Institute For Integrative Nutrition and I am absolutely LOVING it.
Keep an eye out for my upcoming blog post where I will share all about my experiences so far. In the mean time here’s a little video all about the importance of Health Coaches.
Overnight oats have been doing the digital rounds for some time now, but I wonder how many of you have actually tried them? They are the ultimate portable “fast food” breakfast-or indeed they make a super satisfying snack at any time of day.
The variations are endless; peanut butter & banana, mango & mint or apple & cinammon. You can find more ideas to tickle your fancy from Monica at The Yummy Life here. Pictured above is my favourite combination-a superfood chocolatey feast that is like manna from heaven! (Well to me at least!)
I buy my Iswari superfoods at a local health food shop, but they (& more deliciousness!) are available online here. Iswari’s website is a wealth of information for anyone who is new to superfoods, & if you want more recipes I suggest you connect with them on facebook too.
- 1/2 cup organic gluten-free oats
- 1/4 cup Natures Path toasted buckwheat cereal (optional)
- 1 tbs cacao nibs
- 1/4 tbs bee pollen
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp raw cacao powder
- 2 dates, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup of fruit (I used frozen berries & 2 diced strawberries)
- Almond milk (to cover)
Now for the “tricky” bit! Throw all the ingredients in a mason jar, add enough almond milk to cover, replace the lid & shake! Pop it in the fridge & it’s ready to use in the morning (or after approx 4 hours if you can’t wait that long!)
You might be saying to yourself ” I don’t have all those ingredients”-No problem, just improvise and use what you have. No mason jar? Use any with a screw top lid. I find the dates are enough for me, but if you like things a little sweeter just add your favourite.
(Ps. This post is not in any way affiliated with “United Colors of Benetton” as seen in the picture above. I just so happened to use one of their beautiful trays to lay out the ingredients. You might be able to find one like it online!!)
